Mission

We build trips to foster personal and professional development of youths through travelling.

Trips built by youths for youths
What is IM Venture?

â–º A student exchange and skill development journey across Vietnam for high school and college students with diverse perspectives, interesting talents, and different backgrounds from all over the world. Many of these students have come from a wide range of high school and college students all over the world such as Harvard, National Australian University, UWC, Clark University, King's College, Anglo Chinese Independent School, Vietnamese College of Architecture, etc.

â–º A unique blend of traveling with personal development workshops and skill development activities (student-led seminars, cultural comparative challenge, journaling, Vietnamese folk team-building games, deep talks, etc)

â–º IM Venture promises to bring local Vietnamese students and students abroad a unique opportunity to form close friendships with their travelling companions, accelerate their personal development and nourish their intellectual curiosity with enriching educational, group-building, and interpersonal relationship building programs. IM Venture also brings a valuable opportunity to connect with local and authentic Vietnamese culture through strong friendships and close interactions with local Vietnamese students from all over the country.

Who is eligible?

â–º Generally, the demographic for each trip will be different. However, overall, we have programs for all international and Vietnamese high school and college students from 16 to 25 years old. Please check with each individual recruitment round and trip to learn more specific information about demographics for the trip.

â–º For summer 2017, we are accepting international, non-Vietnamese applicants to travel in June. All other trips are reserved for Vietnamese students.

Why IM Venture?

â–º We're not just a tour. Our trip is educational and transformative. We seek to empower youths by connecting them with a network of top passionate, driven, and adventure-seeking students around the world, challenging them with leadership and hands-on projects, and enhance their personal development and professional development through a series of seminars, student-led workshops, and reflection activities.

â–º We take pride in our people. Many of our past participants have come from the most large to small institutions around the world, such as Harvard, King's College, National Australian University, Amherst College, Anglo-Chinese Schools, UWC high schools, local Vietnamese high schools and colleges. We also embrace diversity and diverse perspectives. Our participants have unique experience and backgrounds to help them make valuable contributions to the trip.

What's the cost of the program?

â–º For summer 2017, each participant is expected to pay $550. This will cover all accommodations from the start to the end of the trip but DOES NOT cover transportation cost to Ho Chi Minh City (our departure city) or from Hanoi (our final destination). Please keep in mind that we work super hard to minimize all the expenses as much as possible as we all understand that college students have limited budget. Please reach out to us if you need any financial assistance. We are also offering 3 scholarships up to $200 for 3 selected applicants this year who are in need of financial aid.

Why do all trips start in Ho Chi Minh City and end in Hanoi?

â–º It's fair for everyone! People in Ho Chi Minh City will have to purchase plane ticket to travel back after the trip. Participants in Hanoi will have to purchase plane ticket to travel to Ho Chi MInh City at the beginning of the trip. People in other cities will also travel approximately equivalent distance to participate.
